My brother's home from overseas! I was so excited in the days leading up to his arrival and I've been chirpy ever since. He's just home temporarily to sort out visa stuff, but it's an unexpected treat see him at all - I didn't expect to see him until at least the end of the year. On the weekend he found out that his visa has been approved, so he'll depart our fair shores soon and I'll dolefully bid him farewell.
We've been having a great time - he drops around to visit for short stints, then goes off on the ran-tan doing busy things, then magically returns. He's like a motorised dragonfly. Aside from the fact I'm really enjoying the social aspect (someone to play with!), he 'gets' M.E. and is tremendously helpful to have around.
He's always been a bit of a hat person. We shared a diabolically messy bedroom as kids and he had a drawer devoted to hats. I remember a blue, white and red striped train-driver number. The one in the piccie is his current fave.
It's inevitable he'll lose it shortly, he's like the Bermuda Triangle when it comes to personal possessions. If you lend him anything, be prepared to say goodbye to it forever.
I'll miss him (and his hat) when he goes. Until then, there's chats to have, sparkling mineral water to drink, and shenanigans to get up to.
